You can no longer change the sort order in boards.

Just an FYI for you all. I found the culprit for the awful forum lag we were seeing. The links at the top of the boards that let you sort by different fields were causing huge server load. This is because the forum is just too big to remain fully functional on the limited hardware that we have available.

As such, I have had to disable the links (They are still there, but they no longer re-order the results). Unfortunately this will be until further notice.

I hope that none of you will miss this functionality - I understand that it may be harder for you to search for posts now due to this, so please let me know in this thread if it affects you. If I get a lot of people missing this, we may need to find another way.

I know nothing about IT stuff, but if the forum is getting too big can we archive anything?? Clear out?? Just thinking about how I fix the iPad etc. Prob far too simplistic an answer.

Possibly not. It seems that this is usually hit by the search engines. So although some people may use it, it seems that the vast majority was from Google etc.

Oh actually it doesn't work properly on the boards (although it does bring up some threads from 2005 in some strange order). But it does work on the unread replies since last visit which is where I use it anyway
