Hey Kellyj,

I made some progress. Was able to leave the room and let her self settle during the day. Night time she still cries out, so I have to be in the room. No progress on sleeping through the night again. We are back to two times awake. She's sick again. And so am I.

She is having the early night waking again around 2 hours after she wakes. What do you think it is? UT/OT?

Difficult one hun. Within the first 2 hrs normally signals OT by BT. Have you tried moving BT 1/2hr earlier to see if that makes a difference?

Well done with the SS for naps though! Great progress! X

Heya.

I solve the night self settling. She hates having lights off. So we leave it on dim and she would ss. So now she is independent sleeper persay. She still has musc to help calm her but once music is over she doesn't fuss.

We hit a snag where she just not going for her aft nap. What should I do?

Yay! Well done you! Wouldn't have thought of that one.. We learn something new every day eh?!

I think you're on route to the 2-1 transition hun. Would you mind posting your current easy so we can see what we can do for you? X

From 2 to 1 nap transition (10-12m and older)

What strikes me from the first bit you posted hun is that she's getting quite a bit of day sleep now. Yay in some respects as that's what we were trying for, but now it might be worth capping one of the naps at this age to around 45mins. What time was BT on that day? I would try and keep to a 13hr day at max x

Oh my days! Poor you hun, those NW's are awful. Sending you huge ((hugs)). Is she one already??

If she's 1, I'm thinking we need to step it up a gear and start moving to one nap ASAP and start getting some consistency in there.

What happens when she's awake during the night? I mean, 5odd hrs is pretty crazy. Do you try and resettle her or do you get her up and play? She's an independent sleeper now isn't she?

On the daycare day, I would have thought she was UT for BT due to those two nice long naps, but then starting to get OT by the length of day. A sort of UT/OT loop. But than Saturday looks good albeit BT was a tad late after a 15mins nap, but you had that mammoth NW!

I'm also going to get some more eyes on this for you. I haven't seen NW's like this ever!! X

Hi there,
Big, huge (((hugs))) for those awful NWs. You must be so tired. :( I agree with all Kelly has said... she seems pretty OT with long days. Are you able to do an earlier bedtime of say 6/7pm?

What happens when she's awake during the night? I mean, 5odd hrs is pretty crazy. Do you try and resettle her or do you get her up and play? She's an independent sleeper now isn't she?
Also wondering about this...

Does she have any tummy issues, i.e. food intolerances, reflux, anything that could be causing her discomfort? Is she currently teething? (Sorry if these things have already been covered, just thinking of what might be contributing factors.)

Hi ya maybe it's badly written. The bracket shows how long she asleep. So 5 hrs is good. Yes she had another teeth pop through last night. The earliest I can get her to bed is 7.30? Maybe I should still persist with two sleep. Maybe she needs it.

Ok, so not awake for 5hr, phew! But, still some long NWs. I'm guessing the teeth are part of the problem, but also routine. Do you give meds for teeth and if so, does that seem to make a difference?

I think I would keep one long and one cat nap for now until you can get her a bit evened out (esp as you can't really do an earlier BT). Then, as she catches up a bit, you can gradually push the long nap later and hopefully get a good 2hr+ one.

Maybe something like this...
Wake 6am
Nap 1 10:30-12pm
Nap 2 4-4:30pm
BT 7:30pm

What do you think?

Yes exactly what I'm thinking. I struggle with the second sleep. She never settles with me in aft. Only time I get her to sleep is in the car.. I'll give  it a go.

I totally agree with Katie, think she needs to catch up. There was a lot of car trips in this house to force a quick cat nap. If you can do it, I think it'll be worth all the effort especially considering it's hard for you to do an EBT. Good luck x

Yes... here too! I would definitely APOP a CN to get to a decent BT.

Hiya mummies,

Went to pediatrician today and she said baby is majorly teething at the moment. I never noticed :-[

Here is the last 3 day routine:

8/11/14 Saturday
WU  7.06am
Nap 10.55am - 12.21am Sleep (1hr25min)
Nap 4.35pm - 4.58pm Sleep (23min)
BT   7.55pm - 12.33am (4hr38min sleep)
NW  2.30am - 5.36am (3hr06min sleep)

9/11/14 Sunday
WU  5.36am
Nap 8.28am - 9.28am (1hr0min sleep)
Nap 3.15pm - 4.00pm (45min)
BT   7.25pm - 10.20am (2hr56min sleep)
NW  10.55am - 1.30am (2hr35min sleep)
NW  1.46am - 6.30am (4hr44min sleep)

10/11/14 Monday
WU  6.30am
Nap 10.00am - 11.23am (1hr23min sleep)
Nap 3.15pm - 4.00pm (45min)
BT   7.45pm - 9.15pm (1hr31min sleep)
NW  9.36pm - 12.42am (3hr06min sleep)
NW  1.15am - 6.05am (4hr50min sleep)

Lil miss is also rolling and sitting in cot. Every time I walk away she sits up and is happy and does not cry. Should I let her sit until she fusses and put her down? That way maybe she could learn to sit herself back down, or should I just place her back on her back every time I catch her sitting up?
