He did well last night 7.35-7.10 with a nw at 3. He wanted me to sleep next to him and was getting hysterical when I said no. I turned night light off too but he was having none of it so I told him to sleep and I would check on him later. I know it wasn't ideal to say that I would come back later but it calmed him down and he went back to sleep within 15 minutes...

8-6.10, 8-5.50. Its one step fwd and two back with this kid. I'm giving it a few more days and if wu hasn't shifted I'm doing something radical and trying 10pm BT. How long can he do 10-6 before having to crash and sleep later???

Our kids are the same! DS slept 7.30-7 on Friday, and 8-6 yesterday  ;). Obviously Friday was a big sleep - and catch up after a week at school. Last night is normal for him yk?

I guess it doesn't bother me because he self entertains  :-\. And as long as it isn't 5am I'm not that bothered. It's the pre 6am that kills me!!

Same here, doesn't bother me if he self entertains. Coming straight in though is another matter!

So dh tells ds he will sleep next to him if he goes straight to sleep ::) ::) then he woke at 5 asking where dh was! I thought he was up for the day and send dh to wait for mr sun with him. He went back to sleep till 6.45!!!

This was obviously a cu night. I would be tempted to do 7.15 BT to ensure hes not ot but you lovely ladies keep telling me its not ut/ot anymore so should i do 7.45/8 BT??

I personally would not do an earlier bt with such a long night, as I am more afraid of UT than OT. But this is me...
What I noticed from your posts is that he has longer nights when he had nw. Is that true? Could that be a independent sleeping issue? Just thinking...
