Long Nap, short nap
« on: August 16, 2014, 17:35:17 pm »
What do you do if baby takes a really long nap in the morning and then a short one in the afternoon but total daytime sleep is normal? Do I bump up night time routine or just stick w the usual schedule?

6mo old
Today:
First nap 2.5hrs
Second nap 30min.

Awake time from last nap until asleep at night 4hrs.

Also, he doesn't usually sleep that long. I usually wake him after 2hrs... Should I even be doing that?

I've always woken my LOs to preserve feed or sleep time, I am happy to manipulate their sleep to make the best of their day :)

Can you post your usual day?  How happy is he on this shape of day?

Right now its been
7:00-7:30 WU/E
9:30 Solids + BM Top Off
10:30-12 S (Sometimes 12:30)
Noon E
2:00 Solids
3-4 S
4 E
6 Solids
6:30 BT routine + BM Top Off
7:00- 7:30 Asleep

If is his first nap is 1.5h and his second 45min, then I do try to get in a catnap.... I loath catnaps. Its soooooo hard to get him to fall asleep
