overslept! how to get back on Easy track?
« on: September 06, 2014, 07:53:18 am »
Hello
This is my first post.  We are huge baby whisperer fans in my family.
I have been mending our routine (mostly due to on demand breastfeeding) but Easy pattern existed, just not structured timing.

We are on day 3 of the 4 hr EASY and it's been going great. Except an early 5 am wake to feed (which I've decided to do and knock that out in next couple of weeks)
But this morning we over slept. It's 8.30 by the time we woke.

Do I feed at 9 and say the 5 am was the start of the day and do 4 hours from 5?
Will this mess him up for tomorrow? :-/

Yikes! Really dont know what to do

Thanks for your advice.
L

Not sure how old your LO is, but if you've all woken for the day at 9am I would just feed at WU, do a normal length A time and then nap when it's due, ie just start the EAS pattern from WU time.  That may mean you just do two naps today to keep a normal BT, or you may have to wake from last nap. Either way I'd assume the lie-in was needed to catch up on lost sleep, do EAS the best you can today and aim for normal BT, then start again tomorrow.

Katherine
Thank you so much.
Makes sense to aim for bedtime
Leo is 5 1/2 months 😊
