6mo cries at night - eyes closed?
« on: September 06, 2014, 00:04:02 am »
Hey all,

My soon to be 6mo old wakes at night. She cries and when I go to her, her eyes are closed and it's like she's asleep, but she's crying (not fussing or nighttime noises).  I'm trying to get her to STTN, and I'm reducing her 3am bottle slowly.  She's at 2 ounces (was 6).  What happens after 1 ounce? Water? Anyone go thru this before?

Any idea on the crying? I think picking her up would wake her up, and she doesn't respond to shhh/pat (unless I'm not loud or patient enough?)

Thanks for your help!

If she is crying 12 asleep it could be her settling herself back to sleep between sleep cycles. How long does it typically go on for? Does the crying escalate if you don't go in? It is normal for babies to wake at night, it's if they need us or not that really counts as STTN really rather than them being silent all night long ;)

Any teething?
