A time if baby dozed while nursing
« on: September 12, 2014, 20:35:25 pm »
Hi all
Quick question - if DD fell asleep or dozed a bit while nursing... how does that generally affect A time? Meaning, do I still start it from when she woke from her nap? Or, does it sort of reset when baby wakes from the feed-dozing?

Thanks!

I was just wondering this same thing myself! I'll follow along.

If it was just a 5-min doze I'd ignore it but if s/he was dozing for half an hour then yes that probably would affect the next A time. Can you watch for sleepy cues and see if they seem tired at the expected nap time? And if they don't then keep them up a little longer.

Thanks! I've generally ignored it (bc it is 5 min, 10 at most). But I'm really working to get A timing just right (I think DD has been getting OT) so this is helpful. Tired cues are hit or miss so I tend to watch the clock...

Thanks again!
