Baby wont nurse if I give solids
« on: November 18, 2014, 18:03:31 pm »
WWYD? I introduced solids last week, starting with pears. Baby is 7 mo, absolutely loving eating food. When I give food, I notice he won't nurse on the next cycle. (IE i do solids during awake time, the next E he is not interested in breastmilk.) Do i hold off on the solids for now? Am i possibly giving him too much? TY

I would prob just reduce the amount of solids you are giving. Babies are usually very good at self regulating to meet their needs but if you are concerned then it's ok to cut back a bit.
Are you pureeing the pear, is it mixed with milk/bm/water?  Or is it finger food you are offering?
