I also found with my LO2 that sometimes she was more likely to eat a 'meal' if she had a wee snack first
Oh yes this was true for us too. For a good while (he was younger but I don't remember exactly how old) I worked out if DS didn't get a little nibble before dinner he ate nothing or almost nothing. If I put 4 or 5 sultanas on his plate to get his appetite going he ate a 'proper' meal. Even now if he is super hungry I give him something whilst I finish cooking or I feel I am risking him going 'past' his hunger.
