SUDDEN early waking since time went back
« on: November 17, 2014, 17:23:33 pm »
Hi everyone! My little guy is 14 months old and has been a textbook baby ! However, for the last couple weeks he has been waking at 6 am instead of his usual 7-730 am. I was hoping someone could help me figure out why.

His easy is:

wake-6/630
nap 1115-145
bed 645-7pm

Hmm, it might just take him a while to readjust.  Have you tried putting him to bed a smidge earlier, 6 instead of 6:45?  Remember that babies still need a solid 12 hrs of rest at night, so if he is waking early, roll with it for now (although it sucks, big time!) and hopefully he'll start sleeping a little later as he become better rested.

Might sound like a silly question but did you remember to move his nap and meal times when the clocks changed?

I didn't change anything. I just stayed with the same 1115am nap. Should i? He so tired by 1115 though.

OK things start to get a bit confusing when we talk about time change...
Before time change was his nap at 11.15?
What did you do to move his routine on for the time change (eg move routine in 15min increments over 4 day or make 1 leap to the new time)
After time change changed was it only his WU that has altered, so he is waking at the same time for his body clock but WU is now an hour earlier by the time clock?

Did you move nap and BT the hour on one day then, when the clocks changed?  Wouldn't that mean keeping him up an hour longer before putting him down for a nap?
