Oh yuck (sorry was not going to post but....) - very tired boy today, nap 8.55-9.40 and 12.45-13.50.  Was pretty miserable in between the two and not happy now.  Third nap?  BT?  Early BT?

What is the chance of a CN?? Seems like the better option, but equally both of mine would have rejected at this age....

Otherwise I guess it's a miserable afternoon... Can you walk in the buggy for some low key time? I know it's pretty miserable out there for DD though  :-\. I would do bedtime 6-6.30pm regardless of the A time.... But that is me as I've never had much luck with EBTs.

Have decided to go out and be in car 4-4.30ish giving him chance to doze if he wants. Otherwise will have to push on to bedtime. Yuck. Will let you know...

How it went Katherine? I couldn't post as was working long hours today!
I would also keep the BT rigid and if needed just ride out OT... But that's me:) DS also never compensated with EBT.

I think he's ill :(. Has been sneezing and coughing all afternoon poor thing.  He fell asleep in the car 16.20-45 so had 18.30ish BT.  At least that was kind of at the right time!  If it's not one thing it's another though a seriously teeth, colds, what next?!

Hi Hun thanks for checking in :-*

So today is day 7 of 9-9.45am nap and 1pm nap.  I've been very consistent!!  And it's going pretty well I think.

He settles well and quickly for both naps.  WU is mainly 6-6.30 apart from one random 5am ish start and one 7am as we all overslept ::). The afternoon nap has been 1h40-2h except the day he woke very early where it was broken but longer, and the day he slept in late to 7am it was a broken 1h15.  BT has been 18.15-30 and in general nights much better.

Yay!  I'm sure I'll be back to tweak things in a few weeks.  If the afternoon nap starts to shorten again do you think it's time to start cutting the morning one?

Our final top tooth has cut through though so that may well be helping!!!

That's a great news Katherine! Happy for you and th fact that routine is working. Quite good A times aren't they? 2:30-3, 3:15 and 3:15-3:30. So probably reverse to the routine with long am/ short CN.

Regarding what's next it's up to you. You can either cut the morning to 30min or push slightly the afternoon one and be happy with 1:30 length. I went through Tracy's advice how to go through 2:1 and many kiddos are going on routine with 45min morning nap until the moment you push them to one nap. So it's all up to you. For us cutting morning nap was fine, my good friend is currently cutting to 10min. So you may go both ways - just think what's best for the routine with J around.
