Another failed attempt today :-( children are off school for training day, so thought would have a go at morning nap in cot...

After 50 mins...End result, he's in his pram having been rocked to sleep .. Feel like crying.

What A times are you aiming for/when are you putting him down? Just wondering if you could be missing his window?

He has an A time of around 1hr 15 ish. I normally wait until he's yawning which is around the one hour mark abd then I pop him down.

Okay, so took it back a step today. After no success this morning :-(.  After his feed I watched him really closely and on his second yawn IT was an hour of A time, I took him up, swaddled his one arm and popped him in his cot.... He was asleep in 6 minutes! That gives a total A time of 1hr 10.  Even if this is 45 mins I'm happy I've got him to IS today!

A couple of questions, he is fed 3.5 hours at 7.00, 10.30 and 2.00 and then 5 and 6.30 before bed. Is that okay at 9.5 weeks?

Also, his swaddling, I don't think he is ready for both arms out of his swaddling yet, he seems to be doing fine with one at the minute but two seems to stress him out. Is this normal? Was going to give it another week and try it again with both out.

Thanks for help and support

Xxx

Well done!  That's great that he settled himself :D

3.5 hourly feeds is fine if he's not wanting to be fed earlier - is he on formula?

Lots of mums keep the swaddle for months so if it's working I'd go with it for now x

Thanks! It was only a 45 minute nap but was happy with the IS.

Yes he's a formula baby, I think we may have to go back to full swaddle as he's woken tonight after just three hours... I cannot seem to get it right at the minute :-(

Please take it easy on yourself hun, remind yourself just how little he is.  You are doing your best for him, and that's what he needs, not a textbook EASY xxx
