Does a 30 min nap mean OT or UT?
« on: December 15, 2014, 16:42:19 pm »
Hi everyone,

So my DS#2 is 3 mo tomorrow and I have some sleep questions. He only takes 30-45 min naps and because of this he isn't on an EASY. I tried but couldn't get it to work. Plus I've noticed if he goes more than 2.5 hrs without eating in the day he doesn't sleep well at night. So I have been trying to extend his naps but he hates the shhh pat, and I can't figure out if he is OT or UT. He seems to be happy when he wakes up either way. I've been putting his A time at 1h25m based on the clock because he really doesn't show tired signs that I can figure out. Do you think I'm keeping him up too long? Or not long enough?

Also I should maybe mention that he has been doing 6-8 hrs at night fairly consistently, but since he naps 45 mins all day he wants to be in bed for the night by like 6 pm.

Hello Honey, have you tried once to put him down later than 1:25? Like after 1:45? I would be tempted to try, mayve first A after night as he should be well rested. Try for 2-3 days with this A and check if his naps are getting longer.
If you have a combination of low-sleep-need baby and a hungry boy sometimes routine of EAEAS is working.
