3yo dev leap?

Hello ladies

Just looking for some btdt... Dd will be three next sat and for the last three nights she has been having nws between 10-1 during which she asks for x y z and cries for ages. I've done wiwo but the only thing that helps is if I sit and cuddle her then she will go back to sleep till am. Does this sound like a dev leap? Usually any nws at that time are ot and she will ss. I did ebt last night but it didn't make a diff to nws. Am I handling it ok? I'm worried about creating a prop...

Last night I gave her extra cuddles and longer wd before bt and she didn't wake till 4.50. Same thing until I gave her extra cuddles. Do u think it could be a prop now or still dev leap?

I wouldn't have thought prop, she's been an independent sleeper so long.  It's been on and off for a few weeks here, periods of no NWs then some odd ones again.  The other night she even told me Mummy I just can't sleep!  I'm just doing what it takes right now, not over-doing it but if she needs me to stay for a few minutes until she relaxes I do that.  If it's just developmental and needing some extra reassurance I'd think things should settle within a few days-weeks.

If it's already been 3 or more nights in a row, I would consider a gradual withdrawal or discussing before bt how she has to stay sleeping in motn.  Perhaps just sit on a chair while she falls back asleep instead of giving cuddles; and try to minimize the interaction as much as you can, for us the longer the interaction the more likely it is to continue happening.

DS1 has seemed to start dreaming recently (or at least mentioning his dreams in the morning), perhaps that's coming in to play with your LO?
