I would keep the same routine roughly for couple of days and see how it goes and how the nights look and than you can tweak. He probably needs time to adjust. Would that be fine for you?

Regarding feeding, maybe you can skip the WU BF if the last night milk was after 4/5am? Than you can offer a full milk around 10:00?

I'm happy with this routine actually, hopefully it lasts and is reproducible! (Given how awful the past 10 mo have been nap wise!) The early part of the night was actually decent. After finally getting to sleep around 7:45 he slept till 10:15 now I'm feeding him.

Yes I might do that re the full milk at 10. Only thing is I'm finding he starts to fall asleep because I guess he's used to that time still? Today I was tickling him at the 9:45 feed to keep him awake!

When I was BF my DS often looked like in a dreamland:) but for us it was ok. He just relaxed on boob that way so I didn't mind. If he looks like he is asleep but he is actively sucking, I woud be fine with that. And when he stops sucking, just stop the feed and that's all:).

Looks like things are coming along well!! :)

Re: feeds, when we were on 4hr morning A, I did BF on wake-up although it wasn't always full, then after first nap, before second nap, and before bed. Now, with 4.5-5hr A, I do upon morning WU, before first nap (around 4hr), before second nap, and BT. It is often a struggle keeping him awake before first nap, but it usually works ok. I stand up and move a lot and try to be around G, or put on music and sing. :P

So that was short lived :(

Today didn't go as well..

Wu 6:50
Nap 1 - took him in at 10:40 ish he was fussy..kept squirming around. Finally settled 10:55 but woke at 11:25 and wouldn't resettle :(

Nap 2 tried at 1:15, still fussed around settled better than morning but only at 2:30 then slept till 3.. But thankfully I managed to resettle in ergo till. 3:50.

I took him in for bt with others at 7. He fed and is settling now by. 7:40.

What do you think :( an off day or do I need to tweak? Maybe should've taken him in for am nap only at 10:50? Is that how you count 4 hr A time?

I do not count A for ages.... if you ask me:). I make set naps as we always start the day at 7am and sometimes I wake him at 7am, sometimes he is already awake - but he is put down always around 5h after morning WU.

Can you go for 4:15 A in the morning?

Yes can definitely try..because it would be easier if he slept longer to then do school pu in the pm.

We've had 1 nw so far :( at 9:20pm. I settled without bf but then he woke screaming in 10 mins so I'm feeling now. Wonder if it's teeth actually because he has been gnawing on his bottle teat at bt.

Hmm so that's day 2 of once again short morning nap. It's an odd 25 mins? Any idea what that means? I don't know if it's ot. I tried around 4 hrs just once more today. The first two days this week he was out like a light. After 2 days do you think his body would've already adjusted to 4hr A time?

He's fidgety and not calm like he was on tues and wed when we had good naps in the am.

I've resettled him in the ergo now..so let's see.

Today so far :(
Wu 6:30
Nap 10:35-11 (woke crying)
Resettled in ergo now... Hoping till 12 at least ?

What do you think? Tmro should I push to 4:15? Or is this ot behaviour? Teething? But I gave him Panadol before nap too...

The nap gods were teasing me :(

(((Hugs))), it's so frustrating, isn't it? I guess if it was me, I'd stick with what you're doing for a week or so and see what happens, but then I take things kinda slow and it hasn't always been for the best for us. :-\

Hi ladies hope you are having a good weekend. I'm still struggling to repeat the naps of last week :(

Saturday
Wu 6:30
Naps 9:55-10:20 (in ergo at dd music class)
Nap 1:40-3:20 in ergo (I woke him up to feed cos we had to go out
Bt asleep by 7:40 after feed(I took him in at 7)
Nw 8:50, resettled then again 9:10, resettled then 11 fed, 3fed and 5:15 was chatty, playful but fed and cuddled back to sleep till 6:50

Sunday
Wu 6:50
Nap 10:50-11:20 (in cot ) :(( woke crying refused yo resettle. Was reasonably ok during A time?
Nap 2:20-3:55 (in ergo) I couldn't be bothered trying for cot and getting another short one!
Bt asleep easily by 7:45, but woke at 8:20 crying.. Refused to settle am feeding now :(

Where to from here? Not quite shre what I should do. I'm so frustrated.. I get a glimpse of what it could be like then BAM it's back to faffing around for weeks on end :(

Any ideas ladies? I'm clean out of ideas!

Push first A to 4:15?
Can you try to be at home for this nap? I remember that DS will sleep a long morning nap but not in a pram or so on this level. I see that he napped nicely in ergo in the afternoon but maybe as he was already very tired.

WDYT?

Oh what a fun age!  I think the first nap looks UT, we suggested to bump to 4h15 a week or so ago so I'd probably shoot for 4h20ish and see if that gets you more than 1h10.  May need to go to 4h30 v soon, welcome to 2-1 :)
