Habitual waking? - 8 week old
« on: January 23, 2015, 16:36:57 pm »
Every day for about the last week DS has woken between 5:30 and 6. One wonderful morning he just fussed and went back to sleep, some mornings he takes the pacifier and others I feed him. For a few days he ate at around 4 and then was waking 45 minutes after being PD (asleep) but the last 2 nights he ate at different times and still had the 5:30/6 waking. Is it a habitual waking if it's not at the exact same time every day? It is always within 5:30 and 6. If it is, should I try w2s or just leave him be as he's still so little?

I mentioned on your other thread, hun, that we had a 5 am ish NF with both LOs.  I just did as a NF,  and we all went back to sleep til 7am.

I think he's pretty young for W2S, not sure that would work.  If he is just rousing but happy, I would see if you can leave him to chat to himself for a bit and then drop off again.

Thanks. He's had great nights for the last few days hasn't done a 5:30/6 waking. One night he didn't wake until 4:45 and then went back to sleep until 9 ;D Sleep feels good!
