Is ebt possible at all? I know some kids won't tack on - E will never do ebt no matter what. But if you could even do 6/6:30 with the 1 hr 15 nap and then see how wake ups are? Are you medicating for teeth?

They don't appear to tack but it's not unheard of. I would worry about an even earlier start... However they're taking forever to fall asleep atm so maybe worth a try.

Yes medicating for teeth. Last night both took ages to go to sleep. Prob about 7.10pm. J woke at 10pm and up for the day at 6 h woke at 4.30 but fortunately went back to sleep till 6.30.

How long do the nw's last usually? Are they upset or just awake? I know I would be worried about even earlier ew too, but I guess younever know unless you try (easy for me to say from over here, not so easy to do irl I know ;)).

They cry when they wake in the night. Usually I give meds and put them straight back down which then they may take about half hr to settle themselves (no crying just faffing) then go back to sleep. Just feel fed up with it and it's really affecting my mood.

The faffing makes me think ut rather than ot yk? I think with E the 45 min nap will work for 3-4 days in a row and then she needs a longer nap and then flips back to shorter...darn confusing kids. I hear you being fed up, sleep deprivation is horrid.

Well we'll see what tonight brings as they had 45mins In the car at 10ish told dh not to put them down but take them for walk later in the day and they'll fall asleep if they want to but they didn't! Had them in bed before 6 but nearly half past before they settled. Some crying tonight guess cos they were super tired.
Hopefully it might give some insight to see if ut or not!

Disaster. So pi**ed off with it all. J woke at 10pm his favourite time atm. H woke at 11 j has been awake since 4.30am and h since not long after 5am. What do I do? Put them down for nap earlier and let them sleep longer? Keep it short and hope it pushes them over the edge?

I don't understand why I couldn't be blessed with good sleepers.

Has pushing them to the edge ever worked before? Tbh if I were you I would be doing an earlier, longer nap to try and catch them up if pushing has not worked before. Those evening wakes are usually seen as an ot thing if I am remembering right... (((Hugs)))

Yeah I know you're right!

I'm wondering whether what they need is actually an earlier nap fullstop. So they have longer till bed?? Idk! They've been having early eve wakings for ages though. I've put it down to coming into light sleep and teeth bothering them but maybe not. I don't know whether I should go back to a longer nap? Feel like I keep chopping and changing which isn't helping.

I guess the thing which shows they're tired is they'll fall asleep at 10ish if in the car..or do you think that's just a being in the car thing?

Oh so confused.

Oh my what a mess. H in particular is being awful. He is cutting canines so maybe I should blame them?!

Sat and Sun they had the earlier and slightly longer nap and the nights weren't too bad. Yesterday dh forgot to put them down early for nap but they took half hr to settle and dh woke them after 1hr 15mins and last night was bad. I don't know what to think anymore.

I think I would keep trying the earlier nap then. Ugh canines...I think E is starting hers up as one looks to be bulging, though tbh I remember two year molars being the worst ones with DD1. (((hugs)))

At that age, my son was always asleep for his nap by 11:45-12pm. Up at 2pm by the latest, and bed around 7:30-8pm. My girls would never nap that early, but he really thrived on it.

Well due to toddler group they weren't asleep until 12.15pm today and dh woke them after they'd had an hr and 15mins. Asleep a little after 7pm so we'll see. I'm hoping dh will have them down by 11.45 tomorrow and asleep by noon. I'll get him to wake them after 1.5hrs do you think?

I remember canines being the worst with ds1.

I think 1.5 hrs would be good for an early nap. Fx the nights improve and the teeth are not too bad!
