1-0 changing daily

Has anyone elses 1-0 process gone back and forth like a yoyo?
LO is 35 months, and has been napping 45 mins for a while, if he's OT he tends to have NW and do the dreaded 5:30 WU. Now though if the nap is too long-45 mins suddenly seems too long-as he's mucking at BT not asleep till 8, sometimes 8.30, then it's like he's OT and we get NW and 5.30 WU-then he's bonkers tired after such a short night..... ???
Today he got up (after a few NW) at 6.20, not sure if he went back to sleep after 5.20WU.... and i put him down at 1.10 he didn't go to sleep till about 1.30 and I woke at 2.45-so a tiny 15min cat nap. He did a little mucking at BT, but is asleep at 7.10. I;m hoping he's not OT as had mini nap...
any ideas?
thanks xx

Sorry I have no btdt advice as we went to no naps cold turkey (though do you think that might work, even if it will be a rough go for the first while?) Otherwise just bumping you so hopefully someone with experience can chime in :)

Hi my DS is 33 months and we had and still do get some messing about but we've pretty much gone cold turkey with NND and nap over 15 mins gives us NW or EW.
I'm kind of just going with the flow for a bit and also trying to keep BT no later than 6.45. If we get an EW like this morning 5.20am yukkkk then I might let him have 15 min car nap but I keep it around the 11am time as anything late in afternoon gives us 8pm BT then an EW!
I'd say we get more 6am WU than 5.30 these days but it does flick about a bit. I've been trying to keep a log but no pattern so just think it's how it goes for now x

How long a day would you aim for on a nnd?
He has nursery tomorrow and hasn't napped there in 4 wks!!! X

11.5-12 hour days on NND is ideal but we struggle with that on EW as can't get DS in bed for 5.30pm due to work. x

hi hun I feel your pain we are having the same probs at the min.

I would prob go for really early BT 5.30pm if you can but if hes not coping you could let him have 10 mins refresher or let him have 10 mins nap this morning instead so its a long time to bed.

My monkeys gone off to nursery after a 8pm bedtime and up at 5.30 and im betting he wont nap.....it feels likes its never ending doesnt it  :(
