Almost 4 month old wakes up. Is she hungry?
« on: April 13, 2015, 13:59:40 pm »
My wife and I have had lots of success following EASY for our 3 month 25 day old daughter for the past three weeks. She naps well on her tummy (while we watch via video) and recently has slept 7+ hours at night starting at about 7-8pm on her back.

I have two questions. First, my daughter was born 11 days early. Should we use her birth date date or due date when transitioning her to the four hour cycle?

Second, when my daughter wakes after a 7+ hour sleep should we feed her quietly and put her back to bed until 7am or should we be doing pick up, put down?

Thanks for the help,
Ken

Hi Ken and welcome to the forums :D

11 days early would be considered full term so I would just watch out for a window of opportunity to transition to the four hour EASY in the 4th month working from her birthday.  Have you read this?  Time to Transition - 3hr, 3.5hr or 4hr EASY

If she is doing 7h at night that is fantastic :D. I would feed and put her back down, a night feed or two would be completely normal until she is well established on solids (I'm assuming she does not have a dream feed from what you said?  But even so I would still feed).

Let us know if we can help any more, hope you find the forums as useful and supportive as I always have!
