Yes I agree....pattern of waking also looks like OT right? But could I have done anything differently?

I think it sounds more like teeth than necessarily UT/OT, esp as his most settled sleep came after meds. He's always had unsettled nights when teeth are coming, right? I don't know that you could've done anything different, unless cut the pm nap to 15/20min. :-\ :(

Thanks Katie, he's actually come out with a horrible cold and blocked nose again this morning which may well explain it along with the teeth.  Good to know routine wasn't the main issue, though can't believe he's ill again!

F is constantly with something from Jan honey and I always hope it's teeth and when I survive bad nights I will be one tooth further, haha but apparently not!!!

Btw for us such frequent wakings from 7:30 till 10:30pm is always teeth or cold. OT would be rather one waking after 45min and that's all.

^^^yes this is what we've normally had, one quick waking after 2-3h and that's it.

B has 10 teeth now and 11th about to pop so teeth is a pretty safe excuse here!!!

Ok DS is mahoosively OT now with his cold and a sleep disaster today :(. He's been down for bed 3h and already cried out 4 times.  What do I do tomorrow?  Put him down as soon as I think I can get a nap and then just let him sleep??  And hope I can get a pm nap too?

Yes, that's what I would do. So many (((hugs))), Katherine, you all have been through the ringer with illness lately. :'( Wish I could do something practical to help. :-*

Katherine, maybe he's unsettled because of discomfort due to the cold? As in, having a tough time breathing? Have you tried steam inhalation?

Just checking back in, I hope that's ok?

We have recovered from the latest illness and are on day 4 of one nap - never done more than one at a time before so new territory!  Very aware it could come crashing down at any minute so not counting any chickens, but it's been nice so far :). Nights good at the moment. Only issue is its all a bit too early.....day is looking like

WU 6/6.30 but generally more on the early side
Nap 10.45/11 for 2-2.5h (I'm trying a set nap within reason, and have pushed this from 10.30ish over a week or so)
BT 6pm

I was thinking of pushing the nap later every few days to try to make 11.30/12 and get BT back to more like 6.30/7, what do you think?  Set nap at nursery starting June will be 11.45 give or take.

Reading this whole thread, Katherine!  ;D

That sounds like a good plan and I'll be following suit in a while I suppose.

Holding your hand as we aim for a nice 7-7 or something close(r) to it!

Ladies can you hold my hand/give me a kick in the bum ;) to push things forwards? Just been away for a week and ended up with a bit of OT to get on top of - EWs all in one hotel room! - but mainly still on one nap.  It's got stuck back at 11am/6pm BT though with WU 6am or a bit before....(yuck).  Not shifting nap today as only got home yesterday and things were a bit wonky, but was thinking if decent nap then push BT out 15 mins or so, then shift to 11.15/6.15 for 3-4 days, then 11.30/6.30?  Nights are touch wood ok for now, the odd early evening cry-out and an EW today but resettled.  I'm just rubbish at pushing things  :P
