What are the strangest things your toddler likes to eat?

Just wondering as DD does seem to like the strangest food, all discovered quite by accident. Read... DH was on lunch duty 

Lately she's asking for:

Grain mustard
Gherkins
Brown sauce (HP) with eggs

All of these I consider quite weird for a 22mo, but I might be wrong! Would love to hear some others! X

I don't know if this is strange or not, but my DS tends to like really strong flavours...strong/old cheese and things like that.  He LOVES olives and has since he was a baby.  He eats them out of the jar with a spoon and would eat the entire jar if I let him.  I just think it's kind of an odd thing for a 3yr old to like so much since they have such a strong distinct flavour.  I hate olives LOL

They're not toddlers anymore but C and G have always liked olives. G likes all kinds. C only black ones. Everyone thinks it's strange. Nice to 'know' some other LOs that like them too.

She also loves yellow mustard - she even dips her veggies in it! She will pretty much eat any type of sauce. DH has nicknamed her the sauce queen. She spends most of the meal saying "mo' sauce pease. mo' sauce."
Other strange favourites are pickled eggs with hot sauce and edamame.

Thanks all, we might be in the minority though it seems!  . Might try pickled eggs with DD though, I'm sure as long as there is brown sauce with the eggs, she'll just love them!

We have sweet chilli sauce so definitely might try this too considering all our LO's like the same stuff. We don't have olives in the house generally but that's worth a go too.. Hey, if she likes the stuff why not eh?! All about broadening horizons and all that xx

olives (mostly kalamata or black)
brown mustard (we don't have any regular yellow mustard anymore right now for special diet reasons... they contain paprika and thats a no go for us)

The new thing is anchovies?!  . Go figure. Was making a chicken Caesar salad sauce and she asked for one so said why not? Although they are a bit salty, I think they're disgusting! Xx

Yuck Anne, even the smell of it makes me want to vomit! It's a good thing she's not a clingy cuddly LO then when we do try it!  xx
