DD wasn't a car sleeper either but would crash out during the nap drop phase.  If you don't get a nap I would do 6/6.30pm, with a nap 7pm sounds good x

Some LOs do even less than an 11h day when first doing no nap, I would go for it and hopefully he'll be tired enough to nap tomorrow xxx

It's 630 and he's still asleep which is good. Do I keep trying to put him down at 1 for nap and try a few wiwo during this nap refusal time? Do I try to push it back in hopes that he's tired for a nap later? I have a friend who's lo is 2.5 and every 3-4 days he will crash and nap for 3 hours! But she doesn't put him down for a nap he just crashes on sofa. My lo is not even 2 I wasn't expecting no nap yet!

I would keep putting down at usual time. He is very young for no nap at all and may well just be a developmental thing for a short time x

Good news!  I would keep putting down at 1, I tried to leave DD there for 45 mins to an hour before giving up on the nap.  Sometimes she'd go to sleep just as was about to get her up!

When he refuses he cries when I leave the room and I go right back in and try to resettle and then as soon as I leave he starts crying again. How many times do I wiwo before just taking him out of crib and bringing him downstairs ?

I'd try for 45 mins for a nap.....but if he's resisting that much I'd be tempted to start putting down later, say 1.30pm and see if he settles better.  We were on a 1.30ish nap at that age but with a WU usually before 7am x

I usually do wiwo for 30 mins. It can become so stimulating for him and stressful for me each time I go in when he's crying and leave the room and he starts up again the past two days I put him in leave the room and he starts calling me crying but if I see he's laying down in 1 min he just gets quiet and passes out. So if I can hold off for a min or two while he's crying ( since I don't do cio) he will pass out. He was up today around 7 which I think gives me a better chance for a nap at 1. I've tried later but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

No nap today :( it seems as though most times not all when there's something different in his routine before nap he refuses it. Today we had lunch out and straight home up for diaper change and into crib but my mother was over and he was aware. I don't think there's any was of me helping with the nap when the routine is broken which is very rare. He's a creature of habit!

Put him down for nap at 1 today and he cries and calls me for 1 min then he stops and lays down to get comfortable. It breaks my heart. I think it's just more of a habit now for him. He's still saying mommy but not crying hope he actually goes to sleep.
