Extending waketimes=30 min nap!!!
« on: May 26, 2015, 15:01:09 pm »
My LO will be 22 weeks on fri. We have been having 45 min naps and EWU. So I was told my A time was too short. Not age appropriate. She was getting an hr and 15- an hr and 30. So I have pushed the am A to 2 hrs. And the others to 1 hr and 45. Now I am getting 30 min naps!! And she's so tired going down for the next nap she cries. She gets so worked up she won't go to sleep. Even with PU/PD she just cried harder. How long does it take them to adjust and not be OT?  At this point I would take the 45 min nap back!!

You may just have pushed a bit too quickly :). Why not just pull the A time shorter again for a day or two, let her catch up and then when the 45 minute naps come back you can extend again a bit more slowly.  10 mins or so every 3-4 days, and stop when you hit a point where the nap lengthens to 1.5h or more x
