Transition to 4 hr EASY and nightwakings
« on: June 03, 2015, 20:54:27 pm »
Hi all - I recently transitioned my 4.5 mo from 3 to 4hr easy, which basically cut out one of the feedings during the day, and I've noticed she's much hungrier when she wakes at night. Is this normal until she is able to adjust? Will her body eventually learn to take more in at each feeding? She already is taking her max I think (she spits up a little), so I think it's just a matter of her growing or her stomach expanding a bit.

By the way, we have tried dream feeds but it seems to make her night wakings worse...

No, you shouldn't get more night feeds on the 4hr easy so maybe she isn't ready. If she is spitting up taking bigger feeds then I'd probably start squeezing in another feed again.
