No Dream Feed-Wake for Feeding?
« on: June 22, 2015, 07:49:16 am »
My 6 wo ebf DS has not been eating during the dream feed. I have tried bottle and breast. He was waking once a night and is now waking twice a night at 12:30 and 3:30. I usually put him down 7:30-8:00 depending on the day. My question is this should I wake him for a 10:30-11:00 feed and put him back down or are 2 feedings my life for now. I don't think its a growth spurt because be did not eat any more frequently during the days the last few days.

He is so little still - if the dream feed isn't working for you guys now, just let him wake naturally. You can always try the dream feed again later on if you want to.

You could try the DF at a slightly different time to see if he's more willing during a different phase of sleep.

Mine would never take a DF, I always fed around 10pm with him awake.  It still meant I got the long stretch of his night sleep after that feed so a longer stretch for me too.  Not to say you have to wake him but it is an option to try if you wanted.
