Just seeing this and I'm really shocked.

needs to apply to show how her health could be damaged by not being able to pump at work
Surely the NHS should know themselves what the answer to this would be?!?!?!

Also, isn't the point more (or also) how it would impact the health of her baby?

DD1 - 8 years old
DD2 - 5 years old

Hers and her baby yes. I know. Sounds like she is just being made to jump through hoops.

She's contacting the local MP too. We've discussed the press and she will go that route if it can't be sorted more amicably.

It is doctors on on-call rota's that I have experience of. For a full shift nursing rota I can't see why they can't accommodate, and certainly should be able to provide time for expression. Sometimes they won't allow people to work outside the usual shift pattern because missing hand overs can contribute to patient risk.

At 6 months though I think she has good grounds to push this. I think they use milk no longer being the main source of nutrition beyond 12 months as the reason it stops.

I was intending on returning BFing when Megan was 8 months, but it never happened.
