Eating every 2 hours - 10 weeks old
« on: October 05, 2015, 21:28:25 pm »
Hello,

I have been following the EASY routine for a month now. But I can't seem to get my little guy on a 3 hour schedule. He eats every 2 hours (2.5 if I'm lucky) during the day. Up for 1 hour and asleep about 45min to 1 hour. He wakes up from his naps hungry, I can tell from the cry and he won't take a binki. He eats about 8-9 times a day, 3.5-4 oz of expressed breast milk at each feeding. Can't get him to eat any more than that, and I think he's eating very normal for his age. Just hungry more often! If you have any thoughts please let me know!

Breast milk is more easily digested than formula so breastfed babies do get hungrier sooner. That said, if he takes more at a feed he will last longer. What flow tat are you using? Have you tried a faster one?

I'm using a level 1 flow, Dr Brown. I could try the next level nipple. But would it be too early? How can you tell if it's too fast of a flow for him?
