Feeding and supply, 8 weeks old.
« on: October 18, 2015, 17:46:57 pm »
My dd is 8 weeks now and exclusively breastfed and doing well. I've been attempting EASY as I did with dd1 who I exclusively expressed for as she didn't latch well.
A typical day for us is (roughly) as follows
7am feed
Nap at approx 8/8.30

10/11 feed

1/2 feed

4/5 feed

6.15 bath, massage, pjs, feed by 7pm

Last night she then slept till 3 and had a quick feed but mostly she feeds at 2ish then 5 ish.

Naps fit in between those feeds, she has days where she has long naps but other days she will catnap which make EASY quite tricky. I also want to add a formula feed to get her used to the bottle. We've tried this as a dream feed but she just won't take it...too sleepy...so I might do the 7pm feed. Will my supply even out as n my body knowing that I still need milk at those other times or will it mess completely with supply ... Hope I'm making sense. I end up confusing myself all the time!

Yes your supply should even out to the new level of demand.

If you are worried you could consider expressing and offering a bottle of breast milk at the 7pm feed
