Perfect! Keep me posted about that second nap ok? We'll probably still need to do some tweaking but we're definitely on the right track. Remember if it's a rubbish day, there's always tomorrow ok? And yay that you have got the sling to fall back on... Lifesaver! Xx

Right then, we've had some success with nap 2 but nap 1 seems to be shortening again. Nights are still pretty bad too. With every nap she is still waking after 30 mins and needs shush pat to go back to sleep so I'm not getting any Y time as I'm sat next to the cot for most of the nap. These are the last two days:

Monday
Wake 6.00
E 6.10 breast
E 7.30 solids -was really sick so have another breastfeed after as sucked it up.
E 8.00 breast
S 8.35-10.30( went down without crying for the first time ever! Still woke at 25/30 mins
E 11.15 breast
E 12.30 lunch
S 13.10-13.40 woke grumpy
E 14.15 breast
S 16.00-16.20 (tried to get to sleep earlier but wouldn't go to sleep
S 16.30-17.00 in sling
Bath 18.15
E 18.30
S 7.05

NW 9.30 shush pat wouldn't go back to sleep, fed at 10.00
NW 00.30 feed awake until 3.00
NW 4.30 feed

Tues
Wake 6.30
E 6.40 breast
E 7.30 breakfast
S 8.55-10.10 (woke at 30 mins- shush pat back to sleep. Woke after 1 hr 15 grumpy)
E 10.30 breast
E 12.00 lunch
S 13.05-14.05 (woke at 25-30 mins-shush pat)
E 14.30 breast
S 16.15-16.50
E 17.00 dinner
Bath 18.15
E 18.30 breast
S 19.25 (took longer tha normal to go to sleep, aimed for 19.00)

NW 20.10 shush pat
NW 23.30 breast
NW 01.30 breast
NW 03.30 breast - awake until 5.00
NW 6.00 shush pat

Weds

Wake 6.45
E 7.00 breast
8.45 breakfast
S 9.10-10.10 woke at 25/30 mins. grumpy after 1 hr
E 10.30 breast
E 12.30 lunch
E 13.00 breast
S 13.15-14.15 (shush pat at 30 mins, woke crying)
S 14.45-15.30 ( put in carrier as was really crying
E 16.00 breast
E 16.45 dinner
Bath 17.30
S 18.30 (aimed for EBT 18.00)

NW 19.40 shush pat
21.30 shush pat
23.50 feed
2.30-3.30 shush pat
4.45 feed

I Womfer why nap 1 is shortening and wonder if I need to increase or decrease A time 1?
Why is she still waking at 25/30 mins no matter what time she goes to sleep? Ahh!!

Thanks for you help! xxx

Also... What do I do if she wakes at 2.45/3.00 from nap 2? There's not really enough time for a CN but it's too long even for a 6pm bedtime? xx

I just don't know what to do. She woke from nap 1 today after 25 minutes, screaming, but wouldn't go back to sleep, even though I tried for half hour. Her A time was 2hr 35. I feel like her naps are only longer because I literally sit by her shush patting the entire time which I can't continue forever. Then after a 25 minute nap, what do I do if she's grumpy from the start? Feel like giving up 😟

Is there any teeth coming hun? Waking at that time could well be discomfort?

We all go through rough patches. Try not to let it get you down. A wise BW once told me, we can only give them the opportunity to sleep, it's up to them to take it. It will get better hun, I promise. I don't want to push the. A time again yet as we've extended a lot recently xx
