2.5 year old screams for hours at BT

hi there,

my DD is 2.5 yo and had been sleep trained when she was 5 months old. since then she was a very good sleeper. over the last few nights she started screaming hysterically and can go on like this for hours. we have done walk in /walk out for the last 3 nights but don't see any improvement. It seems to reinforce the screaming as one of us always comes back into her. she has a 6 months old sister which probably doesn't help the situation. she is quite jealous of her. she started doing this at nap times now too and I have to attend to the baby too. so Im not sure how we can resolve this? any ideas?

hey there, she still takes a nap most days but it gets later and later that she falls asleep. she fights the nap too but not as much. a typical day looks like this:

WU 7ish
nap 2pm-3pm (we often wake her)
BT 7.30

she goes to daycare twice per week and there its not an issue at all.

I think it has to do with her being very attached to dad as Im more busy with the baby but I don't know how to fix it...
any ideas?

It could just be because she wants some more attention. Could u swap who does BT? Do u read stories in bed having a nice cuddle?
We had a lot of negotiating at this age and I spent a lot of time sat outside the bedroom door or on the stairs.
Walk in walk out used to make my DS madder so I'd say we are having 1 more story then a cuddle then mummy will be outside your room. If you stay quiet and close your eyes I'll stay on the stairs for a little while.
Kind of like gradual withdrawal but outside the room x

on saturday she didn't have a nap and it was the same but since sunday night things have gotten much better, I think it took a while for WI/WO to work. will post again if I need help again...
