EWU with 17mo- tweak routine/bedtime??
« on: December 10, 2015, 08:27:53 am »
Hey all, I am blessed to have a great sleeper - mostly thanks to you guys and all the great support and advice.
DS is 17 months and has fallen into EWUs since clock change almost 2 months ago. He is content and STTN so maybe I am being greedy but.. He wakes between 5.45-6.15am. We leave in him in cot as long as we can, maybe 30 mins, but then lift him when he starts to get upset and so he doesn't wake the whole house! He falls asleep independently but does have a lovey that he sucks the label of. Nap 12-2 most days and asleep by 7.15/30
Any thoughts on tweaking nap/bedtime?? Would love if he would sleep even tip 6.45

Thank you!

What was the routine like prior to the clock change? Were the nights a similar length? Just wondering if maybe a tiny cap on the nap might help, or shifting bedtime slightly later.

Thanks for reply!
Identical routine really but that he was waking more like 6.45/7am
We expected the early wakings to settle after a few days but they didn't..

My first thought would be to try a bit later bedtime (maybe not permanently but just to see if you can shift the wake up). We don't change clocks so I have no btdt expericence!
