My 10 week old wont nap at all and it is driving me crasy. I feed him, stay awake for a little while (depending on how long it takes him to eat) maybe 15 minutes then i put him down. Give him his paci and within minutes he is out. 10-20 minutes later hes up crying! I put the paci back in but from then on he is in nd out of sleep until his next feeding. Ive tried everything to get him to stay asleep. Constantly putting the paci back in, darkening the room, soothing music, essential oils for relaxing, swing, bouncer, swaddling and nothing works! He just cries until i take him out of the crib. Ive even let him just catnap thru the day but at the end of the day he is super cranky! He sleeps great at night and when we are out doing errands but never at home! His doctor says its because he gets sleepy while feeding so ive been keeping awake while he has a bottle but nothing changes. Can anyone help?? I would like to have hom on an easy routine by now 😩

Sometimes the EASY routine isn't so easy when they are that small yet. What about feeding right before sleep. He's still young enough that you should be able to break the association easily enough. My DS often nursed before sleep (and yes, sometimes fell asleep nursing) and it didn't become a prop.

Ive tried that too a couple of times and he still wont stay asleep :((

Is it possible that it's discomfort related? Could he have reflux?

I actuallu just got back from the doctor and she suggested to switch to soy milk bc it might be a lactose intolerance:/

Hopefully that will help. Are you comfortable trying a nap on his tummy to see if that helps. My DD was really tricky with sleep and being on her side or tummy helped a lot.

Thank you! He hates being on his tummy and i usually do put him on his side :/ ive been trying the soy milk but nothing has changed 😟😟

Do you have a sling that he could sleep in? On you? Might help him avoid OT at least, and if he does have reflux or such issues being more upright often is more comfortable.

Sorry I can't link right now but there's is a reflux board with lots of tips and info.

A sling is a great idea. My DS did lots of sling naps in the early days. If he was having a tough time falling asleep or had a short nap, I just popped him the sling.

Sometimes ill put him in my ergo but he doesnt seem to like it anymore :/ i think it hurts his stomach

That's too bad. Have you tried the 5s's from The Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Karp?
