Transition to 4 hour easy and waking at night
« on: December 17, 2015, 05:08:48 am »
My baby is nearly 20 weeks. He's naturally stretched out his feeds and started taking shorter naps so I've transitioned him across to the 4 hour easy. He now goes between 3.5 and 4 hours per feed in the day. The problem is, where he was waking once in the night for a feed, he's now waking twice. I think this is because he's now getting one less feed a day on the 4 hour easy and so not getting enough in the day. I feed him for as long as he wants in the day and also express 5ozs to give him as his last feed (he then finishes on my breast). Any suggestions for how I can resolve this? Many thanks

We did top up feeds when the A times got longer. Some do it closer to the feed time but for us it worked better to space it out more and we kept it up until we really got into solids.
