11months 2-1 transition & sleep training
« on: January 16, 2016, 17:00:22 pm »
My son is 11 months.  He is at about 4 hr 15 min A time. We just started sleep training to get back on track (from the 8 month sleep regression) getting to sleep independently.  Questions:

1.  Can I APOP that second nap while sleep training??  Because I feel like it's impossible to get to him to sleep otherwise!

2.  He usually takes a good first nap, but if it ends up being only 45 minutes, by how much should decrease second A time?

At 11 months, he's likely at the start of the 2-1 transition so it's pretty normal for their to be some resistance for the second nap. Given that, I think APOP for the second nap would be ok.

I would try around 3-3.5 hrs of A time after a 45 minute am nap. 3hrs is what worked for my DS at that age.
