Back to a Schedule After Surgery
« on: February 05, 2016, 14:09:22 pm »
My son who just about to turn 1 next week just had a minor surgical procedure. He has been falling asleep in our arms because he needed the extra cuddles to cope with pain. He's pretty much now fully recovered. Before surgery he had a great routine. I would put him down in his crib and he would sleep well for naps as well as through the night. Now he refuses to be put down in his crib awake. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I should proceed in re-training him.

Is he having one nap or two? What does his routine look like? What happens if you sit beside his crib and reassure him that way instead of holding him?
