15 month old NW - Prop?
« on: February 07, 2016, 09:55:08 am »
Back... again.
Dd has been sleeping through the night with no problems  since she was about 7 months old. Lately, however, she's been waking up for an hour or more in the middle of the night. She transitioned to 1 nap right around a year without much disruption to her night. She was sick last week, but has been feeling better for a couple of days now. Also, she had been teething off and on for the last month or so.

Schedule is (ideally)
8am up
1pm nap (1.5 to 2 hours)
8pm sleep

She still uses a pacifier, but my question about the prop is me. I stand in her room near her crib until she falls asleep. I don't talk to her or touch her (I will resettle her if she starts to get up). She falls asleep quickly at BT and NT, but if I don't stand there she pops up and cries. She used to resettle herself during the night, but she seems unable to do that now.

I am ready to stop doing this, but I'm not sure how.
Thanks!

hi, I would just move further and further away form her towards the door until you are outside the door. It is a habit now so should be easy enough t break if you take your time x
