How to change nursing so it's not before sleep
« on: February 15, 2016, 14:37:49 pm »
Hi,

I have been nursing my 8 mo old to sleep for every nap and bed time for the last 8 months.  We are gearing up to put him on the E.A.S.Y. schedule.  He currently eats solid foods 30-60 min after he wakes up, so that part of the eating is on the schedule.  However, he does almost all of his nursing right before nap/bed.  How can I help him to change his eating routine so he will eat earlier and I can stop nursing him before nap?  At this point, he just isn't hungry before then, especially since he's having a meal of solids.  When I start the EASY schedule, do I just skip a feeding before his first nap, do PUPD, then nurse him when he wakes up?  That's the best plan I can think of.  Any other advice is appreciated.  Thanks!

Can you try switching the solids and the nursing?
Has he ever fallen asleep without nursing?
