Quick W2S Question
« on: February 26, 2016, 14:54:12 pm »
Hi my 10.5 month old wakes habitually a number of times each night - I can set my watch by him. Having tried PU/PD and resettling in the cot with no improvement, I want to give W2S a go.

The book says to gentle rouse them one hour before their habitual wake up time. My LO has 30 min sleep cycles so if I did that I would be getting him to stir in between sleep cycles which surely will wake him?

With this in mind at what time before his wake up time should I go in to him?

I'd probably go in something like 20 or 50 mins before the habitual wake up so you are missing his transition time.

Thanks tried 20 mins before and I'm not sure whether it was too soon or whether I made too much noise but I woke him up. Cue crying and hysterics for 30mins until I Bf him to sleep! Will try again tonight maybe waiting a few more mins longer before he is due to wake  :)
