15mth old waking 4.30am
« on: February 27, 2016, 04:22:42 am »
Not sure what is happening with LO.  She's usually a great sleeper (sleeps through the night) and loves her routine.  But now, she wakes at 4.30.  Sometimes I can resettle her and she'll wake by 5.30 at the LATEST. Last night she woke often but resettle herself pretty quickly.  I even put her to bed early to overcome the overtiredness.  Today, she woke st 3.30 & 4.30.  I just snuggled her and she put herself back to sleep.  Then up for the day at 5.30.

Usual routine:
6/6.30am - wake and breastfeed
12/12.30 - nap till about 3
7pm - feed and bed (always put to bed awake).

Lately, adjusted routine
4.30 - wake/feed.  Grizzle and be grumpy for ages
12/12.30 sleep
2/3 - wake
6/6.30 - feed, asleep

Not sure what to do. Any ideas?

Has she always liked a short A time to bed? If you think she can handle it I would try shifting the nap a bit later as I'm guessing this started from UT. Sometimes EWs are the LO's way of getting some more A time in. I know with such an early start though it could be tough to keep her up longer for the nap. The other option would be to shift BT later and see if her day moves back where it was, and then go for a later nap. I totally get putting her to bed early to avoid OT, but if this started from UT it might be the push she needs. What do you think?
