Reintroduction plan
« on: March 11, 2016, 14:19:51 pm »
DD1 has been dairy/soy free since she was 21 months (now almost 5) and DD2 has been since 2months (now almost 3). Second time around we didn't mess around once we started seeing the fussiness and funny poops.   DD1 tolerated yogurt and cheese and milk inbaking until we tried to introduce cows milk around 18months and then she couldn't tolerate anything with milk in it at all.  DD1  had an accidental challenge at 3 years old when daycare gave her cows milk she had a sip and had diarrhea for several days (to make the experience more traumatic we didn't have a washer or dryer at the time). Previously when trialing milk with DD1 at its worst she was vomitting.  DD1 recently ate a cereal bar that changed the recipe and new recipe had modified milk ingredients, she didn't appear to have an adverse reaction, but now that she's potty trained it's harder to follow for changes. DD2 has never been challenged that we know of.

I'm thinking it's time to try a purposeful challenge. Some ideas on attempting a challenge  yogurt? Cheese?  Milk? Or milk cooked in something?  Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Have you come across a milk re-introduction plan before? This is the one we followed on the NHS in the UK

Maybe start with this and see how it goes. With the accident it could just be that she reacted to the full on milk -she may well have tolerated baked/cooked milk being re-introduced slowly
