Wake to sleep worth a try
« on: April 23, 2016, 20:09:53 pm »
My LO is 13 weejs old and he regularly has 45 minute naps, sometimes he wakes up happy and smiling but then 20 minutes later is miserable, other times he cries when he wakes.

I have tried extending A time but it doesn't seem to make a difference, also it's very hard to resettle him in his Moses basket once he has woken and wants to get up.

I'm thinking it may be worth trying wake to sleep, what do you think? Any tips on being successful at it?

Hi - I would definately be going in and seeing what happens from about 35 mins onwards. It could be that he needs a bit of W2s and 'holding through the jolts' to get him onto that next sleep cycle x

Thanks bunty, I have observed him and he definitely jolts, I've tried holding him through it but no success. If we are out in the oram he generally has longer so thinking w2s may be the answer for the moses basket

Absolutely give it a try. I used to give Olly a little kiss on the cheek! Then you can still stay and watch what happens HTTJ again if necessary.
