When to feed and when to PU/PD?
« on: June 03, 2016, 16:06:11 pm »
Hi,
I am just starting out on the EASY routine and day 1 is going well. My LO is nearly 8 months and I'm breastfeeding.  I'm still happy to feed during the night but all the advice seems to be moving towards not giving a BF till the morning.
When she wakes up how often should I feed her as opposed to PU/PD?
It's early days but I'm full of optimism!
Thank you.

I would expect 1-2 feeds at that age.

PU/PD is really a last resort thing, try other means of settling first if you can.

Thanks that's what kind of feels right at the moment too.
So I should expect to still feed every 4 hours otherwise try and settle her without feeding?

I would, yes. Up until approx a year it is very very common to need a night feed.
