18 weeks and can't get her to sleep
« on: July 20, 2016, 21:18:01 pm »
My LG has reflux but we feel now the last couple of weeks that it's harder to get her to sleep.
We feel it's not the reflux  as she wants to be held And rocked  but once put down  she roars.
We used to be able to put her down  at night and she would  go to sleep but now she roars. She stops  when you settle her in your arms. She doesn't sleep through the night always waking for the doodie
Daytime naps  only 45 minutes in the cot  but she is getting harder and harder to put down.
She roars the minute she knows she is going to the cot.
It took my husband an hour and half to put  her down tonight. We are  going insane.

Hi, sounds tough on you right now.

Just a couple of questions....is reflux medicated? Can you post your EAS so we can get an idea of what your day looks like? Do you rock to sleep?

18 weeks is still young and waking through the night to be expected in some, my DS2 also has reflux and is 25 weeks and has only slept through once properly. Constant waking often indicates discomfort or the need to learn to self soothe.

She can wake anytime from 5 to 7 for a bottle.
I usually  feed her and put her back down as otherwise age Won't sleep later on for me if I get up with her. I feed  every 3 and half hours. I don't dream feed  as I have  tried it and she gets wind pains.
Our  schduele all depends on the time  she wakes.
I try put  her down after two  hours for a nap.
Naps are only 45 minutes unless in the car.
Finding it difficult with  the reflux..on meds but things haven't improved.
I have to rock her or  pat her head.
I know my day is all over the place.
I feel she can't self soothe. Not sure how to teach her
