Glow worm in cot while pu/pd
« on: July 01, 2016, 22:34:25 pm »
Hi there!
So I am currently sleep training my 11 month old again. We sleep trained her at 5 months with pu/pd and it worked beautifully. This time it seems to be more challenging. She has been using a glow worm to go to sleep and falls asleep alone with it. However, last night she woke every two hrs crying for me. I'm trying to figure out why...
Is it possible that the glow worm could be over stimulating her? And should I get rid of it???

Could you post her routine?  Any illness/discomfort/teething currently?  Why did she need to be sleep trained again?  I wouldn't jump immediately to it being the glow worm - let's look at everything and hopefully we can work it out :)

Thanks for you reply!
My daughter's schedule is as follows:
Wake: 630-7 am
Bottle: 730 am
Breakfast:  9 am
Nap: 930 - 11 am
Bottle: 1130 am
Lunch: 130 pm
Nap: 3 - 4/4.30 pm
Dinner: 5 pm
Bath and bed routine: 615 pm
Bottle and bed: 7 pm
DREAM FEED: 10 pm.

We had to restart sleep training her again as quite a bit of change occured for us since she was 7 months. We moved house. We went overseas for two weeks, and she was moved to her own room as we became quite aware we were waking her up. Willow is 10.5 months and she has just started to walk. She's also getting many teeth all at once. So a lot is going on for her atm.  :)
Since i started retraining her, she puts herself to sleep completely alone for naps, without me in the room and within 10 mins, but night time is a completely different story. I am stumped..

How have nights been since you posted?  Was it just a one-off?
