28 months taking ages to go to sleep
« on: July 14, 2016, 19:40:57 pm »
Hello
Our normal routine until 1 week ago was
Wu 7:30-7:45
Nap 1:30-1:45-3
Bt 8:15 asleep bt 8:30-8:45
He already started refusing nap some days especially weekend, or having a late nap after 2 which we caped at 3
Since last week he is in bed at 8:30 and wont sleep until 9:30, asking for books, toys, singing, asking to use toilet...
I tried a later BT at 8:45 and still didnt sleep until 9:40
And then WU is still 7:30-8..
What do you think? Ot or Ut and needs to cap more his nap? He still needs the nap as if he doesnt He is very cranky and often gets meltdown later in the afternoon. Thr last time I had to do early BT he woke up very esrly next day...

Thanks

Hi, I'd say need to cut nap down. We had a lot of BT faffing at that age and had to drop nap to 45 mins then few months later 20 mins.

What about nap a bit later but cut it, EBT often works on nap transitions when it hasn't worked before if that makes sense  :)
