Sorry hun, been on holiday for the weekend!  How did he seem prior to the 2nd nap?  45min is usually UT, but given the morning short nap I'm not sure if that was the case.  Did he wake from the 2nd nap crying?

Hope you had a nice holiday!
He didn't seem particularly tired when I put him down to be honest and I remember being a bit worried that he would resist as he was chatting for a bit before he dropped off. When he woke it was initially in a happy way but turned to being annoyed really quickly.

Hmmm in that case I'd say he was maybe UT and try for a bit longer of an A after that first nap.  Probably a UT/OT situation - UT for the nap and then OT because the nap was short.

Problem is that I won't be able to push the nap back due to school run.  It's school holidays right now but in a months time I need him awake before 3 so can't extend that 2nd A time to much. Should I extend it now while no school run or should I start to cut first nap? In September he will start back in nursery for the mornings.

Ah right, school run.  Things change so much in a month though so for now if it were me I'd push that 2nd nap out and see what happens.  If you start getting a longer nap then great, and in a months time you can judge where he's at an at that time I bet he'd be ready for a shorter AM nap and earlier PM nap anyway.

Today I put him down after 3 hours again as he seemed tired today. Although now I'm wondering if it's maybe boredom rather than tiredness as he had a pretty good night. Oh well I'll find out if he wakes up early again! If  he does I'll do 3hr 15mins tomorrow. Thanks.
