22mth earlier, and earlier and earlier...
« on: September 15, 2016, 05:09:04 am »
Hi,

This is starting again, EWs, same thing happened at 18mth regression and was fixed by accident but not sure what to do now!

Spirited DS3 been sleeping 11-1130hrs per night, for last week this has been going south, the odd NW in there too.

Normal day was:

 6/630 WU
12/1215-1/115 nap (1hr)
7/730 BT

His nap has been 1/115hrs for 3-6 months now and all worked well, even in his daycare.

He has had a 12-13 HR day for this long too.

For a week now it's been 530 EW, today 515 up for the day, we have 3 boys and if we leave him to
Shout whole house wakes! So need to get him up then.

It's dark, no heat on to wake him, but we gotta do something...

I'm afraid to try earlier BT to stick to 13 HR day, say 630pm, as can't imagine being up for the day any earlier?

Also worried about cutting the nap again as 1hr seems short enough...

Thoughts, advice or shared experience welcome as days starting to
Get tougher!

Thanks!

Do you wake him at 1hr or does he wake himself? If you cap the nap was there a reason for this? My DD2 is the same age and she would be struggling on that amount of sleep. Is his mood ok?

Hi, thanks for replying!

It's a mixture between waking him and him waking himself, we found that anything longer than 1hr 15 mins lead to fighting bedtime and his mood is usually fine when he wakes up.

We just assumed that, like DS1 he has low sleep needs as anything less than 6 hours awake time either side led to issues with nap or bedtime.
