Help for today please
« on: October 07, 2016, 14:16:00 pm »
I got a call from nursery to say dd2 has a temperature so needs to be collected . Last night she was up from 12:45 until 3:15 but bad nights are nothing strange for us. I have her calpol popped her down for a nap cos she was shattered. So wu was 7:00 nap 14:45 ( usually 12).

Really I'm not sure if I should wake her or let her sleep and then what to do about bedtime?

Maybe you have already got her to bed for the night?
If not I'd get started now regardless of when the nap was or how long it was - I'd still got for EBT or at latest regular BT, not later.

Sorry to hear she's poorly x

Thank you. She was sound asleep for 19:20 I can hear the wee soul coughing away but hopefully she'll get a good night's sleep tonight. Coughs are just the worst,  nothing seems to help them.

Glad she managed to get to sleep at a reasonable time.

FWIW I always try for either EBT or regular BT and just tell myself to expect the worst, to be prepared to "give up" on BT if there is huge resistance (and try again 30 min later or so) or prepare myself for NWs either from OT or UT due to some mega nap from the illness or because of coughing/snot etc.  I tend to feel okay about things once I've prepared myself for a bad night and then it usually turns out better than I thought.

Hope the night went ok and you all got a bit of sleep x
