Well for some reason last night was ok!!! no tears no screaming! AND for his first nap today I thought I'd give a 3 hour A a go. Well it was 2.45 and Omg off he went to sleep after a few mins grumbling. he slept for almost 2 hours! Now let me tell you this guy could only handle 2 hr A only 5 mins ago!! Could he jump to that much awake time so fast? Is this where I have been going wrong? I've somehow managed to separate his feeds from nap time now so I'm hoping it'll all come together soon. in saying that I did the same A time or second nap and he's shouting away there now. for second naps should I increase A or leave the same or less ya think?

Sorry above should have said his first nap was 10.50am not 2.45!

So it went ...
E 6.45
Back to sleep till 8
E 10 (wanted to feed before his nap and not too close to it)
S 10.50 to 1pm
E 2pm
S put him down at 3.40 and he finally fell asleep (by himself!!) At 4.10 pm

Should I have increased his A slightly?

I know it's a bank holiday and dont expect a reply today and would like to thank you all again for your help.

Sounds like you're on the right track (or HE is! LOL). If he gives you the same kind of sleeps tomorrow then sure, go ahead and maybe try increasing the A time a little, see what happens, keeping an eye out for sleepy cues.

And if he gives you different sleeps, well...fake it till you make it?

I remember DD#1 watching more TV/videos than I thought was ideal while I tried to sleep train DD#2 (and never did really succeed LOL). DD#2 had a mind of her own, that one! :)

Well he woke after 15 mins! Pron too much A? Would not go back at all. And between going out with kids trick or treating he fell asleep in buggy for half hour until 7. but BT was fine again so I dunno! Hopefully we have turned a corner! Yes where would I be without TV and games to keep them occupied. Not ideal I know but it's not forever.
