Waking at night
« on: December 12, 2016, 14:31:51 pm »
My DD is almost 8 weeks old . She wakes once at night usually 8-9hrs after BT but when she wakes she isually doesnt cry but just lies in bed looking around making some noises. Since she is in my bedroom i hear her and check on her. If i feed her she will take a large feed and fall straight back to sleep but if i leave her she can be awake for a while without crying. Should i ignore her and wait for her to cry for me or maybe SS or should i get her up when she wakes and feed her so she goes back to sleep?

I would just feed and straight back to sleep.  She's doing fabulous if she's doing a 8/9hr stretch at this age, and it is perfectly normal for her to need a feed, she's still teeny :) A hungry baby is never going to SS and based in her age and the big stretch she's doing I would absolutely assume it is a hunger waking.
